Come Play With Letters

December 1, 2009 · 1 Comment

Who says letters are boring?

Check out letterPLAYGROUND for some really cool eye-catching designs.

Artists submit designs for letters resulting in a really diverse collection. You can add favourites to your account so you can keep a tab of the designs you like.

I can’t actually post any of the designs here as they’re all protected and the computer won’t let me save them.

So here’s a really cool image I found on flickr that shows the alphabet in an interesting way!

Russian Vogue

I love these photographs of Anastaija Kondratejeva for Russian Vogue. The cover looks very minimal and crisp – which is something I really love.

The fish photo is a bit weird – I certainly wouldn’t want to pose with a dead fish.

Hello

Don’t fly me away
Don’t need to buy a diamond key to unlock my heart
You shelter my soul, you’re my fire when I’m cold
I want you to know

You had me at hello.

Hi All!

My friend is writing an article for a French paper about Ireland’s reaction to the French Vs. Ireland soccer match and asked me to pass on the details below…

If anyone has a particular interest in soccer (eh, I don’t!) ya might answer some of the questions and mail b.deprez@hotmail.fr

Thanks!
Kel

Hello!

This is my email adress, b.desprez@hotmail.fr

This is a simple questionnaire which will considerably help me to write my article. Thanks a lot even if the latest events don’t favour good relationships between France and Ireland:)

- What was your immediate reaction after the match opposing Ireland and France at the “Stade de France”?

- What were your major feelings?

- Do you think that the fact Ireland is a small country in the soccer world penalized you?

- What was the general feeling after the match? What was the effect?

- Do you find it was logical? Or rather over the top?

- Have you been shocked by various things, acts, ways of reaction? And if so which ones?

- Today, with the passing of time do you still feel the same concerning that event? Can you stand back and judge better or is it worse?

- Was all that media stuff concerning that event necessary? Was it and could it be justified or not?

- What do you think about Thierry Henry? How can you describe his reaction after the meeting when, still on the pitch , he comforted Richard Dunne and then, when he told the press he did’nt touch the ball with his hand on purpose during the match.

- After some days, he declared he would like to play the match again. What do you think concerning his behaviour, and all that stuff around?

- In a more general way, what are your inner feelings towards the French team behaviour and also towards the French population?

- Has this event altered what you think about French people and France since the beginning of that story? And if so, to what extent?

- Do you think relationships between France and Ireland will be different by now? Has a strange mixture of ideas been done?

- When you think of France, what are your reactions and points of view?

- What could you wish to the French people and to the French team for the world cup?

- Will you follow your torturers’course? Who are you going to support now?

Must.Stop.Shopping.

It’s not like I’m rolling in money with this freelance gig…

But ASOS still manages to lure me in with its fancy-schhmancy emails telling me of sales and discounts (tho of course I end up finding things I want that the discount doesn’t apply to – *gah*)…

I do need a Christmas party dress tho’ – or so I tell myself…

eh… and Christmas socks…

…and another Christmassy type dress… *oh dear*
